Dawnrays Pharmaceutical (Holdings) Ltd.,  founded on 8th December 1995 by a Hong Kong investor, is now being the parent company as a listed company in Hong Kong Stock Exchange Market since 7th November 2003 of Suzhou Dawnrays Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., Suzhou Dawnrays Chemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Dawnrays Chemical Co., Ltd. and Dawnrays Pharma (Hong Kong) Ltd. .

One of the core subsidiaries of Dawnrays —Suzhou Dawnrays Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd. was one of the early pharmaceutical companies among the industry in China that had satisfied all those requirements of the GMP certificates; in 2001, it was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC as the “Backbone Enterprise of Wuzhong Pharmaceutical Industrial Center of State Torch Plan”; in 2002, it was recognized as the “Double Intensive i.e. Technology-intensive and Knowledge-intensive” foreign-invested enterprise of Jiangsu Province; according to the Annual Statistic Report of China Medicines (Chemical Drugs), it was the 13th spot in terms of profit earnings over the top 400 pharmaceutical companies; in 2003, it was recognized as the “Backbone and Hi-tech Enterprise of State Torch Plan” by the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC.

Dawnrays is engaged in the development, manufacturing and the sale of cephalosporin antibiotics, and various system specific (generic) medicines. The product range covers bulk medicine, powder for injection, tablets, capsules, granules and midbody. The productions from the bulk medicine to the midbody and to the other drug formulations such as tablets, are adopting a comprehensive vertically integrated process. Dawnrays is equipped with advanced production process and techniques, especially our well-known advanced technology of solvent crystallization. The quality has reached the international standard. Our product of Cefoperazone Sodium bulk medicine and its powder for injection form by solvent crystallization was recognized as the “High and New Technology Products of Jiangsu Province”, and it has been dominating a big market share in China.

The brands of our system specific medicines for cardiovascular and incretion systems have became famous. The two new products of Amlodipine Besylate Tablets (brand named “AnNeiZhen”) and Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets (brand named “XiKeWei”) were launched and are being the dominant market players.
