Speech to Welcome the Spring Festival of 2010

Dawnrays Pharmaceutical (Holdings) Limited
Fellow colleagues,
Good evening, everyone!
I am very pleased to be able to attend the dinner tonight.
For all of you present here tonight is mainly the senior
management and the key personnel of various teams of the
Group. Remember at the recent annual Work Plan Meeting some
time ago, I mentioned that this is the fifteenth year for
the Group to establish its presence in Suzhou. No matter you
have already fought many battles shoulder to shoulder with
us early from fifteen years ago, or you have joined our team
from the Group’s second five-year, or the third five-year, I
believe, as the management team of the Group, you should
have a concrete understanding on the previous development
track and expansion model of the Group; and should have
devoted in-depth participation and contribution in
formulating, implementing and management for the forth
five-year development plan of the Group.
Looking back to the development over the past decade, it can
say that, the growth of Dawnrays Pharma has been accompanied
by the development of China’s GMP system for pharmaceutical
production. In the early stages of its foundation, it so
happened that the new GMP policy was fully implemented.
Through the hard work of the former management team and the
efforts from the members of the Board of Directors, Suzhou
Dawnrays Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. became one of the first
batch of manufacturers granted the pharmaceutical GMP
certification in China. Hereafter, the Government continued
to strengthen the standard and requirements of the system,
meanwhile, the enterprise itself also has its intrinsic
demand for development, the Group’s production plants, the
reconstruction of facilities and the construction projects
for expansion have never been stopped. No matter the size
and cost of these construction projects, the focus of the
aims for every project has been very clear; which centers
around to construct a pharmaceutical enterprise with
long-term competitive capability.
Notwithstanding the limitation of resources for the Group in
the past, however, we have never compromised the quality of
our products for the sake of short-term benefits. After more
than a decade's challenges from the market, no matter for
the middle and upper streams of bulk medicines, or the lower
stream of preparation products, Dawnrays Pharma has
established a reliable hallmark on its quality. Meanwhile, I
hope the management for every concerned department of the
Group should more strictly to monitor the quality aspects of
their respective products and never let go even for the
slightest bit of problem, and devote very efforts to
maintain a solid foundation necessary for this enterprise to
stay evergreen.
The various measures for the national medical reform have
gradually been implemented one by one. Notwithstanding the
situation for policy adjustment may appear in the future,
however, generally speaking, the overall market capacity
will continue to expand, while there will be even more
abundant room potentially for product development and longer
life for products in the market. Through years’ of arduous
efforts, a number of our products have already been in the
forefront leading the market position. Although expansion of
the market capacity will derive a longer sales cycle for
these products, however, competition among the counterparts
within the industry will inevitably narrow down the profit
margins of products to reach the cost baseline, leading to
the decline in the Group’s profitability as a consequence.
Therefore, I believe the senior management and heads of
concerned departments who present here that, in order to
maintain the momentum for the sustainable development of the
enterprise, you have to exercise caution, to think and to
search even diligently for risks that may be hidden, to
explore the technological innovative know-how suitable for
the Group’s development and to seek direction for new
product development. I and the members from the Board of
Directors also believe that, you will all make use of your
unparalleled stamina to break every bottleneck for attaining
brilliant achievements towards the distant and tough journey
for R & D innovation.
In recent years, the re-construction and expansion projects
of the Group have coming on line one after another. Apart
from responding to the various new requirements from the
Government on the production quality and environmental
protection aspects towards the pharmaceutical enterprises,
certainly, this is also for the sake of reinforcing the
integrated capability of the Group towards the competition
among its counterparts in the industry. With the upgrade in
the enterprise’s capability, the product quality will be
more assured, so that the personnel from every sales team of
the Group will have stronger confidence in promoting the
Group’s products under the new market landscape of the
medical reform. I hope the management from every sales
department can give full play to capitalize on every
advantage of the Group, to have a stringent planning and
organization on all the sales, to monitor the market’s
behavior and variation, to expand the market share and
continue the development, and to further establish a leading
position for our products.
All along, the founders of the Group adhere to the
philosophy of stable development for our business, which
insists through internal accumulation to establish a solid
foundation for an evergreen pharmaceutical enterprise with
long-term sustainable conditions for development. Through
the arduous efforts from all my colleagues of Dawnrays
Pharma for over the past decade, we are pleased with the
achievements we attained today, however, there is still a
very long journey from our target. I and all members from
the Board of Directors will, as always, during the Group’s
fourth five-year plan, get well-prepared with concerted
efforts with all of you to welcome the birth of the
brand-new COS workshops and strive to scale new heights at
the new phase of development.
In the Year of the Ox, the overall sales of the Group
reached a record high and the stock price for the holding
company also made further breakthroughs. On behalf of all
directors from the Board of Directors, I would like to
express our sincere gratitude for every one of you present
here as well as all your subordinates for your efforts all
along have been made towards the job and contribution to the
Group.
Last but not least, may I convey my best wishes to you all
for a healthy, energetic and prosperous Chinese New Year of
the Tiger and a happy family!
